    VLC Media Player

    VLC is a highly regarded multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. This easy and useful program is all you need to play multimedia in just about any format. Great for playing TV programs and movies downloaded from the internet.
    Picasa Digital Photo Editing

    Far better than any store bought program we have ever used (including expensive software) for organizing, editing and publishing digital images. Allows for simple photo corrections. Stores hundreds of digital content and has an easy to understand interface. Helps resize and prepare image files for use on the internet. Very easy to select images and share them on the web.     If you want to watch TV and movies from the internet with a program like VLC Media Player, Burst is an excellent choice. Easy to figure out. Just search for " TV torrents" to find all your favorite shows! (most without the 20 minutes of annoying, tasteless ads!)
